Engraved by Joannes van Deutecum, this delightful
world map,
with an exceptional quality of impression, only appeared
in the first edition of Merula's general cosmography.
It is decorated with two celestial maps and four oval
medallions containing maps of Iceland, Japan, and Ceylon,
and a view of St. Helena. A nice copy. Extremely scarce.
